Photo: Portrait of John MoseleyJohn O. Moseley (1893-1955) was appointed president of the University of Nevada in 1945, and served in that capacity until he resigned in 1949. After his resignation, he became a national officer for Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

This collection consist of 14 folders of correspondence and eight bound volumes. The bound volumes contain general correspondence with the faculty of the university, personal correspondence, correspondence with Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and scripts from movies produced during that period on the university campus. The folders of correspondence are with the Board of Regents, and provides information on housing returning world war two veterans, fund raising, donors, and scholarships.

University related correspondence. Includes suggested qualifications for the next president of the University of Nevada; list his achievements during his tenure as president; and copies of talks in support of higher salaries to designated audiences (labor, religious, high schools, farmers, etc.)

1948-1949
Primarily contains correspondence, talks, and general information on Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Also includes personal correspondence to family.

1946-1949
Correspondence concerning his employment applications to other universities, family, and with administrators of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.
