The Agricultural Club, better known as the "Aggies," was organized in 1909, and included the agricultural faculty, and students in agriculture and home economics. The club's objective was to increase interest in scientific agriculture in the school and throughout the state by means of livestock shows, agricultural exhibits, and general activity. One of the most popular events held was the Aggie Horse Show, which attracted competitors from around the country.
