Beginning as the Administrative Council in 1944, the title went through several changes during its history, becoming the Academic Committee in 1952, the Academic Council in 1963, and finally the Administrative Council, 1981- 1987.

The records in this collection cover the period 1965-1970, when it was the Academic Council. The Council was responsible for determining policies governing programs, academic faculty, committees, scheduling, and curriculum. The records in this collection are from the office of the president, and contain reports and recommendations not issued with the distributed minutes.
