Focus on Education was produced in 1972 by the Education Department of the McClatchy Broadcasting Corporation, hosted by Stan Pierson, and shown on television station KOVR, Sacramento, California. Featuring the University of Nevada, Reno, one segment focused on experiments being conducted at the university, and the other on the School of Medical and Health Sciences.

Dr. Gerald P. Ginsburg and Dr. James J. Blascovitch from the Psychology Department discuss their experiment with gambling.
Cryogenic engine. Dr. Lindley Manning and Dr. Richard Schneider of the Mechanical Engineering Department discuss a design of a liquid nitrogen engine.
Seismology. Dr. Alan S. Ryall, Jr. of the Mackay School of Mines discusses earthquake prediction.
Study of the turning force of the leg is discussed by George A. Broten of the Department of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.

AC 104 Two 2 in. reels were received in 1977, from Ed Olsen, Director of Information.
In 1991, the tapes were transferred to videocassette at a local television station
when it was discovered that the University no longer had the equipment to run the
tapes. In 1999, the original tapes were given to the Sacramento Archives and Museum,
Collection Center, to add to the McClatchy Collection.
