Linking to articles from full-text journals

  1. Locate a particular journal you want from the list of electronic journals
  2. Search or browse the journal of your choice. Some journals may not have the browse option, but most do.

  3. From the article description, listing, or abstract, right click on the "article pdf" or "full-text" or equivalent hyperlink.

  4. Click "copy shortcut" or "copy link location" to capture the location for the article. Sometimes you can do it from the article itself, but not always.
  5. Test the durability of any link by pasting it into another browser session. Also, look for session information (usually sid=xx) that will time-out a link. Check for the proxy information as well. Otherwise your students will not be able to authenticate and access. JStor journals’ links do not include the proxy information. See special instructions for these journals.
