APEC 740: Research Methodology
Citing Web-based Economics Literature
Many disciplines do not follow a single citation style. When submitting a manuscript, authors will need to
consult the "Instructions for Authors", usually available through the individual journal's web site. In the
(now rare) case that a journal does not have a web site, these instructions are usually printed in the first
or last issue of each volume. In the social sciences, the American Psychological Association style is considered
a standard when another style is not stated.
