Sally Zanjani
Nevada Writers Hall of Fame 2000

Born in San Francisco and raised in Nevada, Sally Zanjani is the granddaughter of Carson Valley pioneer Herman H. Springmeyer. She is a graduate of New York University and the author of six books: The Unspiked Rail, The Ignoble Conspiracy, Jack Longstreet, Goldfield, Ghost Dance Writer and Other Tales of the Frontier, and most recently, A Mine of Their Own: Woman Prospectors In The American West, 1850-1950. She has also written numerous articles on Nevada history and is currently at work on a biography of Sarah Winnemucca.
