ArcGIS
ArcGIS is a scalable system of software for geographic data creation, management, integration, analysis, and dissemination. The 8.1 release contains three key developments. First, it marks the unification of the ArcView and ArcInfo environments. Second, it introduces a new software program with functionality between ArcView and ArcInfo called ArcEditor. Third, it adds a series of ArcGIS extensions that operate with the new software architecture. The full ArcGIS desktop is available in the Data Analysis and Visualization Lab. ArcView 3.3

Chem3D

GeoLytics CensusCD 2000 Long Form
This data set contains variables such as income, housing, employment, language spoken, ancestry, education, poverty, rent, mortgage, commute to work, etc. There are 5,500 variables at the Block Group level and over 10,000 more variables at the larger geographies such as tract, zip code, county and state level. For a complete list of variables, click here. The data set includes all of the available cross-tabulated variables (income by age, employment by race) released by the US Census Bureau.

R - Statistical
R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is a GNU project which is similar to the S language and environment which was developed at Bell Laboratories by John Chambers and colleagues. R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, ...) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible.
